Jan Des Bouvrie swivel armchair for Gelderland, 1973

Jan Des Bouvrie, born on August 3, 1943 in Naarden, attended secondary school at the Institute for Applied Arts Education, the predecessor of the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. After his studies, he founded interior design shops/design centers ‘Het Arsenaal’ in Naarden and Grave. As a trademark, he set up his own design studio and started collaborating with various distinguished companies. This is how the visual furniture industry Dutch Gelderland Group was designed in 1969 by Des Bouvrie.
